To our Members, Sponsors, and Friends, Hope the new year is treating you well. The events of this week,
the election of Scott Brown, a Republican, to fill Ted Kennedy's seat in the
Democratic stronghold of Massachusetts and Obama's proposal for limiting the
size of our financial institutions, are sure to help make 2010 an interesting
year.
Our December breakfast meeting, featuring Bill Loughrey, offered some
interesting insights into how politics have helped shape our nation. His
comments drove some interesting conversation.

FEI, both nationally and locally, has some
excellent resources for you, whether you're
currently looking for a new position, wanting to
ready yourself for your next move, or simply
wanting to improve your pedigree. FEI National
has recently hired a dedicated Career Services
staff person to help drive further opportunities
for our members. Check out the FEI National
website for a listing of their resources.
Locally, you can contact John Kahn at
johnekahn@yahoo.com for more information on
job leads, networking groups and other career
related events.
National Resources
If you have not visited the national website (www.financialexecutives.org)
recently, I would invite you to do so. Your
national membership provides you access to a
number of resources, including CPE, career
services and technical accounting resources. In
addition, FEI has several staff members in
Washington, DC that work daily with our
government to ensure that our leaders fully
understand the ramifications of any proposed
legislation which may affect FEI members. If
your company has an issue that it would like
addressed in Washington, the FEI staff would be
happy to talk with you.
