To our Members, Sponsors, and Friends, Spring is slowly making it's way to Atlanta. The one benefit of
this long winter has been a decreased desire to go enjoy the outdoors while
looking out the office window.
We had a great speaker in February. David Altig from the Atlanta Federal Reserve
gave us his insights into the current state of the economy and, unfortunately,
evidence showing that we could be in for either a quick or a slow recovery!
We also had a fun joint meeting at the Atlanta Thrashers game with AFP (Assoc of
Financial Professionals). We met on the Hawks practice court under the arena and
listened to Phil Ebinger, CFO for the Atlanta Spirit with his insights on what
it's like to manage the finances of professional sports teams. We also got to
see the Thrashers beat the Florida Panthers, 4-2.

The March meeting is on Tuesday, the 23rd at the

Accounting at the University of Georgia and
previously chairman of the Financial Accounting
Standards Board (FASB) for 10 years. If you have
not yet signed up, please do so as soon as
possible.
