February, 2012
Senior Financial Executives of the Atlanta Metropolitan area:
OK, if you missed BBDO-Atlanta’s (Rob Cherof - Chief Marketing Officer) presentation in January, you may not EVER understand marketing, advertising and measurable metrics for senior financial people. Rob delivered a high-tech discussion full of relevant “customer-case-study-examples” of these “right-brain” concepts, laid out for all us in very understandable language and highly enjoyed by the nearly 100 people in attendance. The Q&A would likely still be going on had we allowed it. Quite frankly, FEI-Atlanta just continues to deliver high quality speakers and programs.
Thanks Rob Cherof, for a great and lively discussion, and to ADP for serving as the hosting sponsor on January 25th!
We have a number of events coming to FEI-Atlanta over the next few months, so check out the roster of speakers for February through May, and we’re also adding key characters and programs already for the Fall of 2012. Understand this is also an election year, and even the Supreme Court will be ruling on issues of major significance well into the Summer months. We promise some relevant and important issues to be covered by upcoming programs. DO NOT MISS THESE; you will NOT be disappointed!
February 29th of this Leap Year is our first annual joint meeting with ALPFA, the national Hispanic business and financial organization with a very large and active chapter here in Atlanta. FEI-Atlanta and ALPFA-Atlanta are very happy to jointly announce an International Panel composed of:
• Newell Rubbermaid CFO Juan Figueroa,
• Atlanta-based, UK Consul General Annabelle Malins,
• China expert, Guanming Fang of Womble Carlyle, and,
• ALPFA Chapter Vice President Henry Ventura as moderator.
So, bring your China, UK, and Latin America/Global questions to this:
planned-to-be-very-informative-panel-of-internationally-knowledgeable experts.
The primary guarantee we can offer you is some lively discussion, along with
much content and global expertise.
Also in February is the next Financial Executive Think Tank® session,
scheduled for February 15th. We now have a calendar for these events, the
program is now trademarked and has its own website (www.FETT.com).
So if you are not signed up to attend, you are missing highly relevant
discussions with your peers! We have already held multiple “F-E-T-T”
small-group sessions, and the overwhelming response has been, “count me in on
the next one.” We are now at a place where we are evaluating when-best to add
other groups within categories like:
• Large Cap Public company
• Leading Private company
• Organizing around “topics, industries, verticals, business
issues, etc.”
• Small Business/Start-Up/High-Tech
• Private Equity portfolio companies
• Not-for-Profit…(and even more to come)
So, if you have not signed up, or added your topics of interest to this mix, DO NOT MISS OUT ANY LONGER!
If you are an active member of FEI-Atlanta, we have already begun our search for Chapter officers and local board group members for the upcoming year. Send nominations for chapter officers: President; Vice-President; Secretary; Treasurer; and (maximum of eight) board roles to
admin@feiatlanta.org. Continuing the FEI-Atlanta momentum, speaker/event programs, FETT, funding, marketing presence and growth, are the primary objectives we just cannot allow to diminish. So, offer leadership nominations to the Chapter AS SOON AS YOU CAN.
Finally, you have seen our audience grow some 40% over the programs in the early months of 2011, just a year ago. What is of critical importance to our momentum is that members “bring a prospect”, for new member status. Do not wait for someone else to do this…you are responsible for this organization’s growth—no one else. So, help yourself out; there is value in your peers, so get them to an FEI-Atlanta Chapter dinner meeting.
See you all at an FETT session, and on February 29th, back at Villa Christina.
Click here for information and to register for February’s dinner meeting, you do not have to wait. It's free to members (but you must register), and just $75 for guests.
